About the Awarri Pioneers Program
The Awarri Pioneers Program is a competitive, 6-month opportunity where selected fellows collaborate directly with Awarri’s team on a targeted project aligned with Awarri’s mission to leverage AI and frontier technology in Africa. This program offers fellows hands-on experience in real-world AI projects that enable significant social impact, allowing fellows to dive deep into areas that align with their expertise and Awarri’s vision for AI-enabled solutions tailored to African needs.
The program is designed for flexibility, with options to participate either part-time or full-time and in remote or on-site settings, depending on the specific project. This fellowship is especially well-suited for advanced students or professionals, including Ph.D. candidates, who are pursuing AI-related research goals that intersect with Awarri’s objectives.
Fellowships are generally unpaid, though project-related expenses may be covered. Each fellow will be supported by a mentor or scientific advisor from Awarri who will help ensure project goals are met effectively and on schedule.
